Countdown to Conference 2009
It’s less than TWO WEEKS now until the Acer Arena lights up, the first notes sound, and history unfolds at Hillsong Conference 2009…
I am passionate about Hillsong Conference, and to say that I am filled with expectation for what is ahead is an understatement. I have seen the way that dreams have been inspired, churches have been impacted, and lives have been indelibly transformed by an intense week of powerful teaching, collective worship and Holy Spirit interaction.
Undoubtedly, Hillsong Conference carries a message that will resonate with the thousands of hungry people who are coming, and the lives they will impact and change as a result. We desperately want to grow in grace and capacity as we stretch ourselves in preparation for what God wants to do.
No matter where you are on this planet - the opportunities in front of us as the Body of Christ - to rise up and be His hands and feet to the world - have never been more exciting. It is in days like these that we must make a commitment to look ahead and look beyond our own circumstances. The Word of God and the foundation of His Church are an unshakeable source of strength in the challenging days we live in. You will never regret investing time and resource into refreshing your leadership and building the Kingdom.
The days ahead belong to all of us, and as we faithfully gather in our churches, connect groups, and in healthy fellowship, and respond with hearts of wisdom and Godly tenacity, we will begin to accomplish all that He has purposed across this planet called Earth.
In our vision video this year I exhorted our church, ‘We have never had a 2009, so let us make this year the best that it can be’. We as a team have already strategised 2009 and believe that when we gather together in fifteen days time, by God’s Grace, we will see the Kingdom of God advance like never before.
There is still time to register for Hillsong Conference Nights, and I pray that you will do everything you can to get involved by volunteering, registering for Hillsong Nights, or visiting hillsongconference.com and letting us know what YOU love about your local church.
I pray that our collective efforts will only continue to strengthen the local church and champion the cause of Christ EVERYWHERE. Let’s be heart-driven, and people-focused as we look with great expectancy to the days ahead.
Love, Brian.
